AB 410 – Unclaimed Property
This bill would increase the abandon property limits from the current $300 maximum to a $650 maximum (we support this bill)
AB 976 – AACSC Bill on Immigration Ordinances
This bill would prohibit a city or county from requiring a landlord to compile, disclose, report, provide, or otherwise take any action regarding a tenant or a prospective tenant based on the immigration or citizenship status of the tenant. (We support this bill)
AB 763 – Condo Conversion Notices – Tenant Notification
The Subdivision Map Act prohibits a legislative body from approving a final map for a subdivision to be created from the conversion from real property into a condo project, unless the body finds that there has been compliance with certain tenant notice requirements. (We oppose this bill)
AB 464 Ellis Act. Five-Year Ownership Requirement.
This bill basically would restrict a residential rental property owner from sell their units for 5 years (We oppose this bill)
AB 548 Solid Waste – Multifamily Dwellings
This bill would require an owner of a multifamily dwelling to provide recycling services for the building. (We are watching this bill)
AB 1173 Water Charges – Multiunit Residential Structures
This bill would require every water purveyor who provides water services to any person residing in a multiunit resident for which a construction permit has been issued, to require the installation of meters or sub meters on each individual rental unit as a condition of new water service to the property. (We are watching this bill)
